The Davidson Farmer’s Market is a producer-only, year-round Market featuring more than 35 farmers and local producers from within a 100 mile radius. The Market is a lively gathering place for meeting friends and for learning about food, agriculture and nutrition. Growers and producers are on hand to answer your questions, from “How was this grown?” to questions about how to prepare and preserve all types of foods.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 12. The DFM will host an Alternative Preservation Workshop with organic farmer, Suzanne Ballard, New Moon Rising. Choose from two sessions – 9 and/or 10:30 a.m.
The Market will be open every Saturday through the end of October, 8 a.m. until noon. From November through March, the Market will be open every-other Saturday, 9 a.m. until noon.
The DFM includes a variety of quality goods, such as certified organic, naturally grown and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables, grass fed beef, pastured pork and free range chicken, fish, eggs from free-range chickens, fresh baked goods, prepared foods, fresh cut flowers, herbs, plants, local dog treats, honey and more. You may expect to find groovy local musicians, chef demos featuring in-season Market goods and a Growing Kids Club too!
